DESCRIPTION: SS 304 is an austenitic grade that can be severely deep drawn and in the welded condition in mild environments. It has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments and when in contact with different corrosive media. Pitting and crevice corrosion can occur in environments containing chlorides. Stress corrosion cracking can occur at temperatures over 60℃.

APPLICATIONS: Floppy disk (shutter), Flexible tube, Expanded metal, Fabrications, Decorative trim, Pressings, Springs, Sinks and splashbacks, Saucepans, Cutlery and flatware, Architectural and troughs, Brewery, dairy, food and pharmaceutical production equipment, Nuts, bolts and Screws etc.

Carbon: 0.08% max, Silicon: 0.75% max, Manganese: 2.00% max, Phosphorus: 0.045% max, Sulfur: 0.03% max, Nickel: 8.00-10.50%, Chromium: 18.00-20.00%, Nitrogen: 0.10% max, Iron: balance.

Thickness

From 0.038 mm (0.0015”) to 2.0 mm (0.079”). Tolerance: +/-0.005 mm to +/-0.01mm. For other thicknesses, inquire.

Width

From 2.00 mm (0.079”) to 650 mm (25.60”). Tolerance: +/-0.05mm to +/-0.10mm. For other widths, inquire.

Surface Finish

2B, BA, 2R, 2H.

Edges Finish

Slit Edge, De-burred Edges, Round Edges.
