DESCRIPATION: SS 301 is an austenitic Chromium-Nickel stainless steel capable of attaining high strength with moderate cold working. Lower Chrome and Nickel content increase the work hardening rate to give high strength and abrasion resistance. Particularly suitable for components requiring stretch forming, high strength or good spring properties.

APPLICATIONS: Springs, Pressings, Connectors, Chemically etched components. (Constant Force Springs, Spring for Dog leashes, Spring for measuring tape, Oil gauge and Wheel covers for automobile, Dome switch in mobile phone, Electric Parts, Drop flat wire, Aircraft structural parts, Automotive trim and Conveyor belts etc.)

Nominal Composition

Carbon: 0.15% max, Silicon: 1.00% max, Manganese: 2.00% max, Phosphorus: 0.045% max, Sulfur: 0.03% max, Nickel: 6.00-8.00%, Chromium: 16.00-18.00%, Nitrogen: 0.10% max, Iron: balance.

Thickness

From 0.07 mm (0.0028”) to 1.2 mm (0.047”). Tolerance: +/-0.005 mm to +/-0.01mm. For other thicknesses, inquire.

Width

From 2.00 mm (0.079”) to 650 mm (25.60”). Tolerance: +/-0.05mm to +/-0.10mm. For other widths, inquire.

Surface Finish

2B, 2R, 2H.

Edges Finish

Slit Edge, De-burred Edges, Round Edges.

Inner Diameter (ID)

305 mm (12”), 406 mm (16”), 508 mm (20”).
